It's that time again!  On 9th and 10th December, and then from 16th December until 7th January 2007, La Village du Père Noël opens its doors for the winter season.  11am to 5pm.  Print $2 discount coupons from the website.  For all ages - allow 2 hours to visit all activities, minimum!  Four hours is perfect for everyone to have an extra turn on a favourite activity. $10.50 (age 2 to 65) - free for under 2s.

Families are invited to a world of exploration and play every Sunday at the CCA.  A new program "Visible and Invisible" joins the ever-popular "Families at Play" sessions to offer an architectural adventure for young and old alike.

17 December - Architecture Throughout The Ages - 10.15am and 2pm.  Adults $6, children $4.  For ages 3-10 years, accompanied by an adult.  Space is limited so reservations are essential - 514-939-7026.

The cobbled streets of Old Montreal will be bustling with holiday activities during the "Xmas Fairies" program, which runs from December 3, 2006 to early January 2007.  There will be FREE sleigh rides departing from Bonsecours Market on December 3, 4, 10, 11, 17, 26 and 31st from 12pm to 6pm.  Illuminated decorations, a marketplace featuring Quebec-made foods and skating at the Bonsecours Basin round out the program.  For a complete list of activities, visit www.xmasfairies.info (no listings as at 1 Dec!)

Redpath Museum is going to teach us all about different dinosaurs that were present in Canada, and we'll be given the chance to make a mini dinosaur replica! 

The December workshop is already full, but they will be posting information on future workshops on their website at www.mcgill.ca/redpath.

December 7th to January 7th, Tuesday to Sunday, 9am to 5pm.  Floral exhibition, Christmas Choirs, Old-time Christmas concerts and Jazz in the garden duo, all happening in the Main Exhibition Greenhouse.  Check the website for schedules.

17, 29 and 30 December at 11am - a new activity for families (available in French only) "Casse-noisette" (the Nutcracker) - a musical tale for ages 3 to 9.

Spring Break - For women and girls of all ages, as part of International Women's Day, entrance is Free on Thursday 8th March from 10am to 4pm.

Also during Spring Break, various activities for kids old and young - Monday 5th March to Friday 9th March from 10am to 4pm.  

The last Wednesday of every month - Parents and Little Ones (aged 6-18 months).  Tactile and sensory boxes are available throughout the exhibitions.  Workshops are offered to create an activity that kids can do at the museum or at home.  Bilingual - 1pm to 3.30pm.  Free!
