Here's a fun way to find out "how they do that".  Economuseums are not just museums.  Tradespeople work from these locations and show the public the skill involved in making such items as glass jars and vases, violins, and clothing.  Well worth a visit if you're looking for an indoor activity.  Some places require reservations.

Take an animated road-train ride around the Ile de la Visitation nature park and learn about it's history.  Rent inline skates, a bike or binoculars and enjoy the scenery.  Website in French only.  E-mail me for further details in English.
